speaks to the soul like Amazing Grace |
Using
a bagpiper at a memorial service and/or funeral is a wonderful
way to say farewell to a loved one. I usually play slow, reverent
tunes as guests arrive for the ceremony and then again at the
ceremony's close. Of course a favorite tune for services is the
powerful and moving, Amazing Grace.
Some
common uses for pipers:
- Playing
as guests arrive to the ceremony/gravesite
- Leading
a processional or recessional
- Playing
at a distance, as the "piper on the hill" - either
within sight or hidden from view
