Eagle Scout Court of Honor Bagpiper

Bagpipe Music for Scouting’s Highest Achievement

As an organization started by Lord Robert Baden-Powell in England, both Scouting and bagpipes share a common past in British history. And while there may not be a bagpiping merit badge offered, having bagpipes played for Scoutings most notable awards — such as Cub Scouting’s Arrow of Light or the Eagle Award of the Boy Scouts of America — can be a special way of paying tribute to Scouting’s humble beginnings.

Bagpipes During the Court of Honor

Most often bagpipes are played at the beginning of the ceremony either as part of the Color Guard detail or to usher in the Eagle Scout candidates. As an Eagle Scout himself, Piper Jonas can either remain as part of the “Eagles’ Nest”, if applicable, or return at the end to pipe out the new Eagles into the reception area.

Whatever the need — Piper Jonas will strive to deliver an exceptional experience and matching the excitement of the occasion.

If interested, please contact Piper Jonas for a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss plans for incorporating bagpipes into your program.
